Leathermen Club of Spain (LMCS) was founded on 23 November 2018 with the intention of providing the Spanish leather community with an environment based on the principles of authenticity, inclusion, community and visibility.

Following the example of other European leather clubs, LMCS was born with a strong social spirit, something that had not previously been common among Spanish clubs. From its beginnings, the club has kept a close focus on the inclusion of older LGBTIQ+ people, signing a collaboration agreement with the Fundación 26 de Diciembre.

In the year following its founding, LMCS also signed a collaboration agreement with Fundación ANAED, an organisation dedicated to the visibility, de-stigmatisation and support of people with depression and those around them.

The main aims of LMCS are:

• To foster a space for meeting, reflection and debate on issues affecting the LGBTIQ+ community, and in particular the Leather and Fetish Community.
• To encourage collaboration among its members to strengthen and make more effective their community work.
• To collaborate with other groups and associations working in the field of affective and sexual diversity.
• To denounce lesbophobia, homophobia, transphobia and biphobia, as well as any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
• To reflect on the role of the Leather and Fetish Community in the normalisation and visibility of the LGBTIQ+ community.
• To promote the study and analysis of discrimination within and outside the Leather and Fetish Community.
• To raise awareness in society of the need to eradicate LGTBIphobia.
• To support and participate in HIV prevention and awareness campaigns.

LMCS organises monthly, on the first Saturday of each month, the Madrid Leather Social, a reference space and meeting point for both community members and newcomers who are joining it.

In addition, the club holds two major annual events: the Club Anniversary, which takes place over the May bank holiday weekend, and the Madrid Leather Weekend in autumn, an event that since 2023 has served as a platform for the election of Mr. Leather Spain.
